These video apps have replaced TikTok in India

TikTok was a popular platform on the internet for small videos and it had huge popularity in India until last year. There are 250 Chinese apps along with the most popular app TikTok was banned in India by the Government due to a geopolitical crisis with China. Many content creators came into the limelight in a very short period by this app. They made a huge fan base over there.

 

As TikTok was banned last year, many short video platforms come to that place to recover that. According to the report by RedSeer, twenty per cent strength is increased in all these kinds of social short video platforms after the Indian Government banned the app. Recently there are so many platforms on the internet for short videos. During a survey they counted it as 240 million users are recently active on these short video platforms and also the survey says at the end of the year,2025 it will increase by 650 million. As I said there are so many platforms serving this short video creating facility within that I listed some of the popular apps.

 

Chingari: This app is launched in the year 2018. The founders are Sumit Ghosh, Biswatma Nayak, Deepak Salvi, Aditya Kothari. This is one of the popular apps and has more than 75 million downloads on the play store. There are 3.5 million daily active users using this app and if it calculates in a month then the figure is 34 million active users in a month.

 

Moj:  It has more than 100 million downloads in the play store. This application support fifteen different languages. That is the main reason for its short time popularity. There are Hindi, Urdu, English, Bengali, Assamese languages available on this platform.

 

Mitron: This is the first application that replaces the much popular application TikTok. After the ban of TikTok, this application reached 1 million reaches within some days. Right now, it has more than 10 million downloads on the play store.
