Browser Testing Software, Lambada Test, on its Path to Excellence

Lambada Test, the Browser testing startup which had raised almost $6 million in the Series A funding round, has raised almost $16 million in the series B funding round. The series B funding round was led by Sequoia Capital India along with Wamda Capital and Telstra Ventures.

The startup was set up by Asad Khan and Jay Singh in 2017. It is a platform that permits users to test their website or web app interactively. The platform provides almost 2000+ browsers and operating systems to test a website. The company currently employs almost 150 people including engineers, salespersons and customer service teams. It saw a 50% increase in its revenues and a 20% increase in the number of customers since its beginning.

According to Harshjith Sethi, Principle of Sequoia India, testing is becoming a significant element as every company is trying to develop its own software.

Lambada Test provides a testing platform for websites that is very user friendly. It increases the productivity of the web development companies at the same time raising it to international standards. The testing platform enables web development companies to create products that are stable and shows high-performance rates. Mayank Bhola, the Vice President of Lambada Test’s engineering department, mentioned that interface testing, which tests the front gate if a website is given more emphasis. But it pays attention to details like security, performance and PI testing also.

The company intends to use the funding to increase its own platform and also to build cloud infrastructure for its users that is of next-generation quality. The company also intends to develop more products for its user to enhance their testing experience, this year. The new ranges of products they intend to introduce are expected to increase the speed and efficiency of the testing process, thus, making it more conducive for the developers.

 Their major customers include Xerox, Cisco, Microsoft, Deloitte, Media.net, Trepp and CocaCola.  They have other customers and independent developers from almost 132 countries and have hosted an estimated 20 million tests. Their competitors in India include Testmatik, Fleek IT Solutions, VTest and BrowserStack.
