Lavery stated that the goal of the documentary was to honour Sophie, her family, and the rural community of West Ireland at the time. After all, she’s found it quite amazing that something so horrific could happen not just to a woman who appeared to have a golden existence, but also in such a lovely environment and to a town that prides itself on its tranquilly, safety, and inclusivity.
