The Deepfake Guide - What is It ?

UAE has launched a national program for artificial intelligence to provide a deepfake guide that will help the people of UEA to understand the pros and cons of artificial intelligence. This will also help the public to know about the harmful side as well as the useful side of the new technological advances.

Deepfake is the name of new technology, that is made of using various technics such as artificial intelligence, and dividing the differences between fake and genuine videos. The main aim of this technology is to provide the customers with an understanding of the differences between the real and the fake. This technology has become very important to deal with incidents of cyber-crime.

This guide has opened because of the initiative taken by the UAE Council for Digital Wellbeing which is chaired by Lt-Gen Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan who is the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of UAE.

The Deepfake guide has two main categories which are shallow and deep. These two types are specially made by videos to make people understand the various new technological inventions. The Shallow fake category includes videos in which slow down technology has been used to slow down somebody’s speech, without changing the pitch of the voice of the person. By using technologies one can also change the date and the location of the video. The location can be changed as per the need. This Shallow fake technology will help to detect all those fake videos.

Deepfake also has another advanced feature such as it will help you to detect which video has been faked by changing someone’s voice and the content of the speaker and keeping the face of the speaker in the video. The deepfake technology helps to detect fake content by using Artificial Intelligence.
