On Monday Apnaklub, which is a business-to-business wholesale platform for fast-moving consumer goods, based in Bangalore, announced that they raised $3.5 million in a Seed round from Sequoia Capital India’s Surge. Which bring the total funds raised so far to $5 million.
In semi-urban & rural areas Apnaklub use their network of digitally connected wholesale partners to connect retailers’ line kirana & general stores in India. Apnaklup comes with the great infrastructure along with every essential digital tool that will going to help them and make a huge carrier in the present time. They make a huge family with the help of local shopkeepers all around Bengaluru.
They are going to expand their business of their wholesale by all the revenues that come from this. They try to expand their business into rural areas and also upgrade their services. There are over 13 million kirana shops in India. This kirana shops are providing essential commodities to the rural portion of India.
They got all the household necessities like snacks, sanitary products, tobacco from the distributor. But as they can buy small number of things because this is not the large-scale business, the problem faced by customers in rural areas. They do not get sufficient quantity of the foods and the essentials for their family.
For this communication gap between the customer and the kirana stores, the wholesale company Apnakulb try to fulfil all the needs of rural people, that is the only reason that they wanted to expand their business mainly in the rural areas of India.
The very first thing they did is to collect the information about persons need and on the basis of that they send their agent to the kirana shops for the locations and then they make an app which is very easy to access and from that they provide all the essential goods to the rural areas.
