In the midst of this bewildering pandemic, many pet owners have found themselves lost as to how they can perfectly take care of their so loving pet. In the early days, when the pandemic has started, many pet owners were in doubt about the animal-to-human transmission of the virus.
Other than this many of the pet owners have faced some or another economic crisis and also due to the sudden lockdown that was imposed upon us, many pet owners have abandoned their pets. Other than pets, stray animals have also faced the great threat of starvation due to lockdown. Animal activists have also found themselves helpless because of movement restrictions and NGO workers also couldn’t help these animals in the time of lockdown. When a Pomeranian dog and a cat has tested positive and later they have also transmitted the virus to their owner, the fear among pet owners has even become stronger.

She has founded this organisation in November 2018 and since then her organization is working for the treatment and welfare of animals. She has said that it broke her heart when she saw owners are abandoning their pets as they thought that pets are a danger to their lives. She has also said that most of the stray animals have died out of starvation as everything was closed, they have only survived with that provided to them on the street.
Her organization Jeev Basera has taken up a food drive that lasted over 100 days. In this drive, they used to feed street dogs in several areas in Lucknow. Each day they used to 300 dogs. Apart from feeding, they also used to take care of injured dogs with proper medication.
