Instagram Has Set Limits For Advertisers To Reach Young Generation

Instagram has made its platform safer for young users. Instagram users who are under the age of 16, Instagram will set those accounts as private accounts by default. Also, Instagram has made it hard for certain suspicious accounts to reach young people. Instagram also made it hard for advertisers to reach young people with their ads.

This additional change has already been activated in countries like the US, Australia, France, UK and Japan. Instagram has officially announced that they have already set this change in those countries and they soon will expand this change all over the world. Instagram has also added that they want to make their platform safe and private for young users and they also want it to be fun for them but without the potential disadvantages of a social media platform.

Instagram helps young people to keep up with their friends in this time of pandemic and stay in touch with their families. Instagram don’t wish these young kids to be disturbed by unwanted DMs or with unwanted comments from strangers. Though Instagram has thought that a private account will be the best choice for a kid under 16 years, some kids want a public account to build their own following. But instead of this demand, Instagram has chosen to take this step to make all those accounts private who are under the age of 16 or in some countries 18.

Instagram has created a technology that will help to detect all the suspicious accounts and it will prevent those accounts to interact with young kids. By suspicious account, Instagram meant to that account which has been blocked or reported by any young person. With this technology, Instagram won’t show young persons account to those people.
