Revolve around the all-new Xiaomi Mi Watch - Fitness Freak

The Mi Watch Revolve Active is Xiaomi’s newest wearable for the Indian market. The fitness wristwatch replaces the Mi Watch Revolve and adds capabilities including a blood oxygen monitor (SpO2) and Alexa voice-assistant.

The watch has a starting price of Rs 9,999, however, Xiaomi is now providing discounts. But how does the Mi Watch Revolve Active fare in terms of functionality?

Here’s the Hype

The new Mi Watch Revolve Active has a circular display with a bright and brilliant 1.39-inch AMOLED display. Even in direct sunshine, the display is readable. I think the watch is a little too bright, especially if you’re sleeping with it on and the screen unintentionally turns on.

The watch contains a separate sports button and a home button. The sports button displays a list of all of the device’s sports modes. It also has a crimson accent.

You can see all of the apps on the Watch by pressing the home button. If you have signed in to the Mi Wear app, pressing and holding this button will activate Alexa. Alexa performs flawlessly on the smartphone. However, because the watch is dependent on the phone, keep in mind that if the phone’s battery dies, Alexa will cease working as well. The watch only has Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and no WiFi capabilities.

The watch’s user interface is straightforward. Swiping left or right will bring up widgets like blood oxygen, heart rate monitoring, step count, stress and sleep levels, and so forth. You may also access the apps separately by pressing the Home button, albeit the apps are limited out here. The user interface is simple to use and runs without a hitch. Notifications from your apps, like as WhatsApp, Messages, Gmail, and others, are also displayed on the watch. However, you can just view the notification; you are unable to respond or take any other action.

In addition to the regular routines found on fitness watches, we loved that there are numerous training modes to select from, including freestyle workouts, High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), Yoga, Jump Rope, Hiking, and Triathlon. The option to add and remove workouts directly from the watch would be appreciated by users. Xiaomi gives you the option of selecting from a variety of categories. Across all categories, the watch supports roughly 117 professional sports modes. Water polo, tug of war, rowing, darts, and even fishing are all supported.

Should you buy the Mi Watch Revolve Active?

The display, battery life, and fitness-related features of the Mi Watch Revolve Active are all excellent. It also includes blood oxygen monitoring, which has become increasingly important in today’s Covid-19-affected society. This is a nice fitness watch, however, it is on the expensive side at Rs 9,999.

However, with current discounts and bank deals, it can be had for Rs 8,249. It’s a tad limiting in terms of being a smartwatch. This is an option to consider if you’re searching for a fitness-driven smartwatch for less than Rs 10,000, especially as it supports a variety of sports and activities.
