Subway has announced that it will soon release the updated menu of their company, and they also announced that it will be the biggest changed in menu in Subway’s history. In the raise of other fast-food brands, Subway was constantly facing loss in recent market in competition to other brands because of its age-old menu. So, Subway has finally taken the decision to improve its menu by adding a variety in its sandwiches to attract customers.
Subway will add new Italian and multigrain bread and new toppings for the sandwiches. Subway’s bacon from now on will be hickory-smoked and the turkey and ham will be sliced more thinly. The company has also planned to bring up old recipes such as rotisserie-style chicken and roast beef. Subway has also made an announcement that it will distribute free sandwiches on July 13 from 10 am to 12 pm to attract customers and to encourage them to try on new toppings.
Subway has made these announcements all over America and thousands of shops are working to attract more customers to their shop. But before all the competition started in the market people used to considered Subway as an affordable and healthy option for their eating. But now people re attracted to more easy and cheaper options in the market.
Subway CEO John Chidsey has said that they want to make a loud enough announcement to attract all those people to try out Subway once again. According to a survey done by Technomic, research analysis says that, in 2013 Subway’s profit was $12.3 billion in the US. But in 2020 Subway’s profit has reduced to $8. 3 billion. Though in the beginning of 2021, in the pre-pandemic situation, there was a slight increase in Subway’s sells.
