Uber to Hire More Engineers to Enhance Itself Technologically

Uber has announced that it will be hiring almost 250 engineers for its office in Hyderabad and Bengaluru to increase its operations in India. It is a move specifically to enhance its production operations. In October 2020 it had recruited almost 85 engineers to strengthen its technology and product team.

Uber is a ride-hailing company based in San Francisco. Enhancing the technical infrastructure of the company will improve its performance in the growth of its driver, its delivery patterns, digital payments, marketplace, data and safety.  The company is planning to expand itself across the country. It is also trying to branch out to almost 10,000 cities across the globe.

Manikandan Thangarathnam, the senior director of Engineering in Uber India mentioned that they are looking for innovative and creative engineering minds who could help them solve many problems regarding mobility and delivery. They are trying to serve more people on a global scale and brilliant engineers can make their journey more efficient. 

The technical team of Uber in Bengaluru and Hyderabad have worked on various global projects and tried to develop many industry-first creations. They have already started recruiting new engineers to create new teams and also to add new members to existing teams to support such ventures in the country.

Uber has been using technology in an increased manner to enable safer and efficient rides across the globe during a pandemic. It has added features like mask detection features to ensure that the rider has worn a mask. It has also updated the maps across the country to ensure a better ride experience and easier deliveries.

The technical team of Uber has also enabled the users to opt for digital payment mode easily. It has also digitized the driver onboarding and uploading of digital menus using artificial intelligence.
